Good Questions: Daily Show Artwork?

11-18-daily.jpgHello AT,

From my daily viewings of the Daily Show I've noticed that guests walk out from backstage in front of a really cool piece of artwork. I am 99% sure it's a 2 color rendering of the NYC subway map, with everything removed except for the position of the tracks. To people outside NYC it probably looks like an 8 foot tall picture with a bunch of randomly positioned lines.

Anyway, I can't find anything about it. Anyone have any details on this? I would love to buy a print for my apartment.

Thanks, Conor

The new Daily Show set was designed by Jim Biber, an architect with the Pentagram design firm. You could try contacting Pentagram to ask about the artwork.

Thanks
I got a response from Jim -- the set and everything on it is custom-made, so no dice. By the way, I was wrong about it being NYC. If I correctly remember what he told me, they wanted to make "maps without content"
