Good Questions: Emergency White Lacquer Console Tables?

6-6-console-table.jpgHello AT,

I'm working on an event set up and the client JUST decided to change furniture from black to white. The event is on June 12th!!! I need to find 2 white lacquer console tables ASAP. Approximate dimensions need to be about 60"- 72" L x 30"- 40 " H x atleast 24" D. Does anyone have ideas? I am preferably looking for a 4 day rental but depending on the price... could purchase as well. Please help!

Thanks, Jennifer

6-6-white-console-table.jpgDear Jennifer,

We inserted this pic, which may be of help. It's from West Elm, and it's their Parson's desk, which really works as a white lacquered console and is affordable. It's not quite as long as you want however, but it's a start.

Other than that, your best stop is Jonathan Adler, the king of lacquer. His table is expensive, but you might be able to rent a floor model.

Anyone???

Bridge Props in Williamsburg may be of help. In my experience, they're really friendly and will do their best to help. A quick look gave me this (not sure of the dimensions):

There's a renatl place in the Floral district that may have something.

North side of the street, about halfway down the block.

Maybe also consider clear plexi, which is something this place might have.

Or cover the black ones you have with white gloss contact paper? The Parsons shape should be easy to cover.

I love the mirrored console with white legs pictured above. Any insight as to where this can be purchased?
Thanks.

I'm in search of a high-gloss wallpaper to cover a simple, oversized table that I am using as a night table. The table is a Parson's / Asian style with very clean lines and is a light blue laquer. I would prefer not to have it professionally paint it, nor do I want to do that type of work myself. I suppose a contact paper would work, however I'd like something that is heavy duty so I can wipe it down easily. The paper should mimic the effect of a laquered table. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions of products and brand names and where to order on line. Thanks!
