Howdy AT! I have been spying the Plaza sofa by Avenue Six for a while. I have looked all over the AT site but can't find any mention of it. I have also looked around online for reviews but all I find are prices. I absolutely love the lines. It's kinda Petrie-ish, but way less expensive. What I'd like to know is if anyone has purchased this sofa and if the quality is any good. It's always priced under $700 and I've seen it for as low as $490. It is in my price range but if it's cheaply or poorly made, I'd like to know in advance. Thanks! Alpha

Wow I looked at the link above. Quite nice however I like the color of the original above better than the choices at Macys.

The corona is really quite nice for how affordable it is. I bought the 'Rochelle' from Crate and Barrel, (LOVE IT) but my cat has already ripped the arms to shreds, boo! So, in a year or two, when I can't stand the snags anymore, and buyers remorse has worn off, I will most likely buy the corona. That is, if it still is available!
About the Plaza.. I suspect that the fabric is very thin and will tear, but have not actually felt it so it is just a guess.
Target sells the plaza set, so go to target.com and check out the reviews there.

I have the Macys corona couch in pear along with a matching in brown and love it! Also, I have cats and used sticky pads, a really good scratch post and some anti-scratch spray to train them to keep off the furniture and it's worked really well.

If you walk into a Macy's store - the furniture has more color and fabric selections than what's shown on the website.

The corona sofa is lovely, too bad I can't have one...it is too long and won't fit through my doorway. *sigh*

I'm a designer and convinced my parents to buy the Corona sofa, and we ALL love it. Great price, quite comfortable, and i think I'll buy it for myself soon!
Regarding the Plaza sofa, I like it's back tufting a little better than the Corona, but have concerns about how well it is made- even the sample image above seems to show some uneven lines in the cushions. BUT I have not seen it in person.

The corona has three seat cushions. For me, that's a deal breaker. It pushes a transitional piece too far back towards the traditional. Single cushion preferred, two cushions acceptable.

I have the plaza. It nice to look at, and priced right. The only thing I wasn't expecting was how upright the back is. It is definitely not a lounging couch. The fabric is a microfiber, and it was really easy to put together. All in all, it works well for me. I would recommend it.

oh it's good for tall people too. the seat goes way back!

Thanks enlovei! I definitely appreciate your review. It sounds good because if I were to buy it, it'd be in my front hi-welcome-to-my-house room and not my follow-me-back-here-to-the-den hangout room. I like the plaza tufting better than the Macy's sofa, y'all. Sorry!
But thanks everyone! I knew you AT'ers would be able to help!

@evahesse, I bought the Corona a couple of months ago and love it. I use Sticky Paws and a blanket when company is not around and my cats have left it alone.
