Hello AT,
You've helped me before so let's give it another try.
I have a Noguchi knock-off glass-top coffee table which suddenly has a big scratch on the glass surface. Any way/product to make the scratch less noticeable?
Thanks, Lynn
Unfortunately, we called our favorite glass resource, Capitol Glass & Sash, and they were very nice, but said that it couldn't be done. We then did a little searching around the web and didn't come up with anything either, except for this company, Glas-Weld in Britain, who say they can repair 90% of all glass damage. They don't make it look easy.
Unless a reader has a hot tip, the outcome of this question is dark. (Thanks, Lynn!) MGR

Did you look at products for classic car enthusiasts?
I searched on Google for "glass scratch on classic car"

You could find out if there are any art schools in your vicinity that have a glass program. If they have a cold working shop they could repolish it for you.
Otherwise you could etch the glass top to make the scratch less noticeable.
I have no idea how big the scratch is or if this is even worth trying, but one last-ditch alternative *might* be to just paint clear nail polish on the scratch? This works for minor scratches - obviously you have to be careful or else your lovely glass coffee table has smudgy nail polish on it. But as an alternative to engraving the whole top, this might at least make the scratch invisible.
Google glass scratches eastwood . Eastwood makes a kit for deep scratches on windshields. Should work just fine for a coffee table.
