Hello AT,
I have seen a couple of Martha Stewart books in which she uses Duralab cabinets in her kitchens. The cabinets are really nice-looking. I have also seen them in a Terence Conran kitchen book.
We are about to put in a new kitchen, and would love to investigate Duralab cabinets, but can't figure out how one does this. I have also seen them in a variety of colors, not just stainless steel.
Does anyone know anything about how to get a Duralab kitchen, or how much it costs?
Thanks! Tess

If they are like most other items that Martha loves they probably cost a fortune and can only be found in this quaint little shop on the Lower East side of Manhattan.

This is from Martha Stewart Living magazine:
an excerpt found on amazon.com by googling "duralab" "martha stewart"
"COUNTERS, CABINETS, SHELVES, DRAWERS, CARTS, and TABLES custom-made by Duralab Equipment Corp., 10723 Farragut Road, Brooklyn, NY 11236; 718- 649-96oo. (All Duralab products are custom-ordered; there is no stock or inventory."
A while back (like 5-7 years ago), my mom called about getting a price quote. I don't remember how much it was exactly, but it was crazy ass expensive and, if I remember correctly, they had a minimum order. Things may have changed, though, so it's worth a call. But, yeah, the Martha has expensive taste!

I think they have done a couple of projects in New York. including a big multi - unit project in brooklyn. one of the lines they carry are a 100% Stainless steel kitchen manufacturered in germany or italy. Its not priced like IKEA but its also not insane, considering the cabinets are all made from 100% stainless steel.
I personally installed Martha's kitchen cabinets in her NYC apartment pictured above. Contact Duralab @ 888-805-1740 to request a catalog or speak to a salesperson for answers to your questions
