Hi Apartment Therapy — I saw these chairs on eBay and was outbid on them. But now I can't get them out of my mind, and want them badly for my new house! Can anyone help me ID these, and give me suggestions on where I might find them? I know it's difficult with vintage, but it never hurts to ask! Thanks!

Can't say who made them, but I wager they are likely vintage Danish modern pieces though.

I'm guessing these are Danish...
...you might consider Paul McCobb "Connoisseur" chairs by Calvin for a similar style that's more readily available.

Those are lovely. I do not know who they are made by but I have seen very similar ones many times. There was a set of four at the Flea Market last Sunday that needed wood oil and new fabric they were selling the set for 100.00.
Just keep searching danish modern with cain backs and I am sure you will find something very close.

They look like Bruno Mathsson chairs made from teak.

This vancouver antique shop has a ton of mid-century modern/danish chairs. I found it while bidding on an item on eBay and discovered they had their own website. Look in the New Arrivals Section...

There are some reasonably similar chairs posted on the Pittsburgh craigslist just today.

I would get in touch with
http://www.baxterliebchen.com/home.htm
or maybe http://www.gueridon.com/index.php
And send them the picture to see if they could help identify the chair maker/style.
Best of luck, those are lovely chairs!!
