While I don't have any information about that specific table, it does remind me of Noguchi's "Prismatic" aluminum side table: http://www.origamisources.com/images/noguchi_table.jpg.

I have that Noguchi table, Sophie. It's not heavy and glossy like the one above -- it's very thin metal with a duller paint. The one featured looks lacquered or enameled to me.

And I have yet another, similar metal side table that has a lid on it, which I have referred to as an origami table. I don't have a photo of it, and I'm not near it. I found mine on the street 10 years ago or more, when I lived in Hell's Kitchen.
