Reminds me of a Robert Sonneman desk lamp I have... could they be related? Image here:

Hey, that IS a good question! ;) I've been trying to find out the answer for a long time now.

KShea, it definitely is reminiscent of that Sonneman lamp. Thank you for offering that angle...I'll investigate.
