Good Questions: Identify this Little Round Lamp?

1-26-smalllamp.jpg
Hi Apartment Therapy, I'm hoping one of your savvy readers will recognize this little oval globe table lamp. I've checked the usual places online to no avail, but being from Toronto, I may have missed a few American sites. Thanks! Mery

I feel like the past year or so EGG's have become very cool to display. From Robins eggs to Ostridge Eggs... Very hip, very smooth and very unique!

Thanks for letting me post a comment,

I haven't seen one like that (I'm in the lighting biz), but here's a couple that are similar:

This site in the UK seems to have it as part of a package, but no further info is available. Perhaps you could email them?

Oh, wow, that light I just posted is MUCH cheaper at Y Lighting (www.ylighting.com)! How does DWR get away with being so much more expensive?

Hi Emily the Cat. The Flos Glo-Ball comes in multiple sizes. If you select the 17.5 in diameter on the Y Lighting site, it adjusts the price (they start with the price for the smaller size) so it ends up costing the same as DWR.

However, even though they don't save you money in this case, Y Lighting does have good sales and I've ordered from them more than once and always been happy. They have a huge selection too.

Ohhhhh, thanks for the clarification, Monroe! I just thought DWR was ripping people off as usual. =)

that light used to be sold at BoConcept 2 years ago. I checked but they do not sell them anymore.

I like the white shade that hangs from the ceiling, and looks like it's teabagging the room. Sorry for the graphic desription, but there's really no other way to describe it.

WOW! Thanks everyone. Uh-huh...I KNEW this was the right place to turn to for help...and so fast!
dtremit, I have contacted the UK site, as that appears to be the exact lamp...hopefully they have a North American version. Otherwise, you have all provided me with so many wonderful similar options from high to low to consider, most of which I never came upon in my search. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply to my question!
