Good Questions: Identify This Nightstand?

1-12-nightstand-table.jpg

I LOVE this bedside table. Can anyone identify? Or know of something similar... must have a drawer. I pulled this image from Domino's galleries. Please help end my quest for the perfect nightstand! Thanks!

The chair and ottoman also have a nice little price tag on them: $9,000!

Wow.

Yeah, I fell in love with that chair when I saw the magazine...guess I won't be getting one of those anytime soon.

Honestly, I didn't even notice the table- but it is fantastic!
Just email Domino, they are good about IDing items. {It might take them a few weeks, but they will get back to you.} I think there might even be a form on their site. The image is from the Feb 09 magazine, page 65. {you need this info} Good luck, and please let us know what they tell you...

Since I expect that table to have a hefty price tag of it's own, may I suggest looking at thrift stores for a little drum table like this (in some natural wood color, of course). Remove the likely three-footed pedestal. Look for something pre-fab (tripod?) to replicate the metal base of the love table or see what a metal fabricator would charge to assemble one or create one from some erector-set type metal from a home building store. Sand, prime and paint the tabletop as you wish, change the hardware to something new, and you can probably get a customized table for under a hundred dollars -- possibly even just a few bucks. (I have seen rickety tables like this -- bad legs, good tops -- for as little as $3 at flea markets.)

You can also search around Dwell's website. They have some fantastic side tables with crossed legs:

The designer's shop is listed in the magazine and has a website: www.nickykehoe.com - I called and spoke to Todd Nicky (super charming). He said that they designed the nightstand specifically for the Ruffallo house. I like that it's one of a kind - they seem like one of a kind peeps.

It won't be the same (but depending, could be cooler) to do what SherryBinNH suggests, but instead of fabricating, try the CB2 Formosa table for the base and use the tray top elsewhere (that, or find a cool mini-chest to set on top).
