Good Questions: Identify Vintage Chairs?

7-1-vintage-chairs.jpg

I purchased these chairs at my neighbor's tag sale recently; they belonged to her mother. I bought a pair of these lounge chairs (chair on left) but the seating has been replaced by a vinyl weave. The original pattern may be different and I would like to have them restored back to cord. I also bought three of these dining chairs (chair on right) — she only had three and I would like to complete the set. I've tried to look for another one but have not had any luck. Does anyone have any clue of who the maker of this chair is? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ariadne

The lounge chair is gorgeous. It looks like a hans olsen. The dining char was I believe manufactured by fastrup.

They look like Hans Wegner designs to me
is this the one on the right?

When his designs became popular, there were a lot of rip offs (that are just as collectible as the originals)--see if there is a sticker with the country of origin.

The one on the left looks to me like a Norwegian chair by Vatne Mobler. The right would probably be Borge Morgensen. The papercord is tricky and expensive to replace though as a word of warning.
