Good Questions: Lind Sofas in New York City?

11-6-lind-sofa-nyc.jpgA friend has turned me on to the beautiful Lind Sofa 934, but I would love to see it in person before I order it. Where can I find one in NY?

Jensen-Lewis and Natrona Furniture both have carried Lind products in the past...these would be excellent places to start. Does anyone else know of NYC-based stores that carry the Canadian brand Lind?

Have you considered simply contacting the company or it's regional sales rep via the company website to ask them directly?

It is in their best interest to help you, after all...

Their website http://www.lindfurniture.com/Lind-Representatives-673.aspx says to contact Paul Lukas (pjl5312@aol.com) for New York distributors. We were bent on ordering Lind sofas for the known quality and beautiful lines, until I've actually seen the current models (including the one above) in store. They are pretty, but SO SMALL. The one pictured here is more like a tiny, low settee. It doesn't look at all like grown-up furniture. The backs are very low too, which may look good in pictures but is not comfortable. Good idea to see before you buy.

Dania sells the sofa above in Portland aand my friend owns the set. It is beautiful in person-until you sit on it. the cushion is thin and when you sit on one side the other side raises up. They have added velcro tabs under the cushion to address this issue but it does not work. The scale is small but it works well in small rooms. Overall it feels cheap and uncomfortable.
