Good Questions: Modern Folding Chairs & Table?

11-24-folding-chairs.jpgIs there a modern/different version of these folding chairs and table? I like the concept of how the chairs can be stored inside the table and the table can be used as a console table when not in use. However, the design is a bit country for me and seems everyone in NYC has these already...Any suggestions? Thanks!

I want to know where you can find those table and chairs in the first place. Maybe they're not right for you, but they're perfect for my place!

I have the set in the picture and it's perfect for a small space. I used it as a entry way table 90% of the time but would either leave in place if two and raise one leaf if two were having dinner or wheel into my living room if I was serving more people. I purchased mine at Economy Hardware (http://www.citylivingstores.com/) in Boston a couple of years ago. I've since moved to New York and the table has moved with me (though it was the item several friends wanted to buy from me when I made the move). A year or so ago I also saw it on Overstock.com. Let me check my files at home for the manufacturer.

Here is my favorite option for you if you are going for more modern. This table is available in Black, Orange and Silver. You will not be able to store the chairs inside/under the table, but they do fold up and can be stored in a closet.

I think the ones pictured, in the darker wood, are more modern looking than any of the ones I've found - they are all in the lighter wood tones. But here are some I've come across while trying to find the ones in the picture.

I've also considered doing some elaborate modern tablescape with a folding party table...square or round
