Good Questions: Sealing Terrazzo Floors?

Hello AT,

Is there a product on the market for getting stains and water marks out of terrazzo floors? Or should I have it done by an expert? Any help would be gratefully recieved. I love your page. It gives me great ideas.

Dear Sirmuirhead,

We know two people who had this problem. One solved it by replacing the floors for ceramic tiles and the other decided to live with it. They did tell us, however, that there is an oil or product that is used to finish these floors and that you have to do it often to really keep the stains away.
