Good Questions: Similar Chair from India?

12-18-india-chair.jpg

Loved this at Anthropologie this weekend but not the $600 price tag. They said it is a "found object" from India and they only had a few. Anyone ever seen anything similar at an import store or website for less? Thanks!

This a "minorly" famous mid-century design -- by someone like Kagan, but I'm not sure who. The originals are surprisingly comfortable, but this doesn't look as well made -- the ropes need to be very taut.

I LOVE this chair! I searched high and low online for it after seeing it at Anthropologie in San Francisco. Since I didn't quite know what to search for, all I found was this African version:

No price is listed, so I'm assuming it's quite expensive, and the lines are not quite as MCM as I'd like.

Also, I swear there was a house tour on AT recently that showed one of these, but I can't for the life of me find it.

Not to go all Furniture nerds on you guys, but this chair was designed by Jørgen Høvelskov designed in 1968
It's called the "Harp Chair" It's a beautiful design!

it looks similar to one the Ikea sold last year: the Brommo deck chair.

Not at all the same shape, but similar in concept.
