This might not be too helpful, but my mother was bidding on a chair much like this on ebay a few days ago. It was green and had the nail heads and everything, though the back was button tufted. It's kind of a cop-out to just say "ebay", but it's what I have to do, too, to look for furniture that isn't ridiculously expensive...though some of it still is. Damn those ebay stores for catching on that vintage furniture of the modern variety are such hot items. Bah.

Look on Craigslist, eBay, fleamarkets, etc...

This could very much be a new piece of furniture. There are some wonderful reproductions out there that have the ability to age leather to make it look just like this chair. I know, because I used to work for a company that made them. They were made in England by bench craftsmen.

I don't know if this is very helpful, either, but this style of furniture is frequently made in for government use by inmates. I'm sure there are some General Services Administration website where you could get some as surplus government property.
