Good Questions: Similar Pendant Light?

9-18-light-fixture-1.jpgHi there, Recently I found this photo of a green vintage light on a blog. I'm sure it's probably an antique, but do you know of any sites out there that make similar lights to this? I love that it combines a light-colored glass and iron.

Thanks,
Athena

It looks sort of Moroccan. You might try some of the Moroccan lighting places for something similar. Maybe Berber Company (which doesn't have anything look-alike, but might have something else in the same vein that would appeal to you):

Pottery Barn says this one is no longer available, but perhaps it still is in stores and just not online?

OH MY FREAKIN' GOODNESS!!!

I just bought something EXTREMLY like that over EBAY!! I LOVE IT. It's so BEAUTIFUL.

The one I have is purple. I've been wanting to know more about them. It's antique.

I've actually been looking for one of these lights myself--it's very reminiscent of Moroccan lights as many people have said before, but a Venetian blown glass lantern (or a knock-off of one). There's actually a blue one listed in the AT ads right now (in the SF area for about $110, but maybe you could work out something with them?). I'd snatch it up myself, but it's not the color I'd like. I've seen them in antique stores for as much as $600, so IMO the $268 version at Anthropologie doesn't really phase me. I'm still considering getting one from them.

I just did a post on an original 1965 Moe "Venetian" light that is remarkably similar to this light:

I think that's Victoria's place (sfgirlbybay.blogspot.com). She said she cleaned her flat for the previous renters in exchange for their lighting fixtures. She may know where they bought it.
