Good Questions: Similar, Stylish Desk?

9-18-anthro-desk.jpgHi AT,
I adore this desk from Anthropologie, but the $1300 price tag is way, way, way out of my budget. Any ideas on where to find a similar desk on the cheap?

Thanks!
PhillyLass

eBay - Search for Raymor, Paul Cobb or Planner Group.

This one from JC Penney might not be similar, but it has wood and metal and looks real neat at $399 (on sale):

Actually, bepsf, the Paul McCobb (not Cobb...) line that this desk is inspired by isn't the Planner Group, it's the Irwin Collection.

What about buying a plain drawerless glass desk and then putting a wooden bedside table under it? Bedside tables can be bought for a bargain second hand and you can sand it back and varnish it to get it looking great.
