Good Questions: Sliding Door Hardware Like This?

5-14-slidedoor.jpgHello AT,

Do you (or any at community members) know where i can buy pre-made
flat track door hardware (similar to what's in this photo) in
manhattan? and at a reasonable price? don't need a door ... just
the sliding hardware?

Thanks, Kelton

Anyone know of a place other than McMaster and Carr and the places mentioned in this post?

I've used Raydoor for a project in Miami and their headquarters are in NYC. I'm not sure if they will sell only the hardware but you could give them a call or email.

i hear home depot sells a light duty sliding door system. a little more modern than the picture you put up - that barn door looking stuff you might find at mcmaster-carr.com.

These tracks are sold by www.crown-industrial.com , located in SF.
I bought 4 industrial tracks from them for my condo redo. They were very, very knowledgeable. My salesperson was Beverly.

The price was better than McMaster-Carr, with the added advantage that you could talk to someone about your project and they would guide you as to exactly what pieces you need.

Good, luck,

I ordered sliding barn door hardware from McMaster-Carr. Their website is hard to navigate, but I'm pretty sure I ordered from page 2828. The track is heavy duty galvanized steel, so it has the look of industrial flaked metal, although I suppose you could prime and paint it however you want.

They ship from New Jersey and I had the stuff in two days with standard shipping.

Um, trying again:

I ordered from McMaster Carr, p. 2826 of their catalog.

Check out...

www.krownlab.com

Simple, raw, iconic sliding door hardware.
Lead time is quick, the quality is excellent and the price is reasonable.
