Dear AT, That's a nice bed, who makes it?
And, while I've got your attention, does anybody make a tall platform bed? I want to step down & out of bed, not have to clamber off the floor or anything closer than 20" and below.
Thanks, Fred
To find out who makes that bed call Amenity Bedding at 323.665.7239 (it's their photo). As for tall beds, forget your platform (those are always made low) and risers, and just go to Pompoosanuc Mills for an excellent, simple tall bed: the Chelsea Bed. We have seen these with bedskirts that hide the fact that they also allow good storage underneath. (Thanks, Fred!) MGR

You might try the door store.
That Amenity bed looks like the Case Study bed available through DWR or Modernica.
I love really tall beds and my home is decorated in japanese art. I realy don't want a wood bed!I also don't want to have to pull myself off the floor every morning. But I cannot find a TALL bed please help.
platformbeds.com has a bed called the "Pecos" that can be ordered with a 3" taller option - making the height from the floor to the underside of the slats 13". MUCH less expensive than the Chelsea bed above, though I can't vouch for the quality of either.
For the past 5 years I've been sleeping on a Pecos bed ordered from AbundantEarth.com. Cheaper than platformbeds.com, and the same bed. I got the 3" option, and I love the bed.
I'm currently shopping both AbundantEarth.com, PlatformBeds.com & FutonsNow.com and I'm afraid to say Stace must not have noticed AbundantEarth.com has hidden shipping costs which make them more expensive in the long run compared to these other sites. Best deal is PlatformBeds.com as they seemed the cheapest for the Pecos Bed I was looking at and had free shipping.
A question for anyone who's ordered from abundantearth.com or platformbeds.com or the like: What's with the optional "upgrading" to the "poplar slats" or (the even pricier) "double slats" option? After reading about broken bed debacles on this site (read:West Elm), I'm suddenly paranoid that the bed's regulation supports won't be sufficient...though I'm loathe to spend the extra $$ if it's not likely to offer greater assurance on the bed's overall "life." Word back from those in the know would be really appreciated!
Hey I know I'm late on this but I got my Pecos from Platformbeds.com 4 years ago and I've never had a problem. I can stuff whatever I need underneath and it's survived several moves. Also, I checked my old order form and I never upgraded the slats.... and never had a problem.
i am looking for a platform bed that has the box type platform at the bottom so nothing can slip under the bed,and will also have at least 2 drawers on each side.if thats not enough i would like it to have good height for ease in getting out of bed as well. i am beginning to think i will have to have one built !
check the cherry platform bed from charles p rogers. it looks pretty high off the ground and they make nice beds.
Great collection of contemporary platform beds and storage beds, worth checking out for small spaces ie: New York, San Francisco, etc.
Hope this helps.
We bought our contemporary bedroom set here. It has a elegant upholstered headboard but is still real contemporary.
