Hello AT,
I have a question about a prominent NYC structure that maybe you or your readers can help me with:
What is that weird neon lit rooftop structure that you see when you just start to drive on the Manhattan Bridge going into Manhattan? I think it changes colors too and it looks like illuminated neon trusses make up the roof....
Thanks, Randy

I know I know! Pick me pick me!
That is called "The Jetsons Building" and was a non-descript multi-use in DUMBO that became the home to architects Scarano and Associates. It's lit with Color Kinetics lighting.
it's art,
but I forget who the artist is
An office for an architectural firm called Scarano & Associates. I wrote about it a while back, more info after the jump:

It would be fun to live there . . .
SVA had dorms in the old Y on 34th St, and I had a friend
whose cell was next to the old orange neon sign
gorgeous light!
guido:
did you go to SVA?
If yes, me too...
that monstrosity is a huge colorful eye-sore.
yes
and if no?
still yes
