Hello AT,
I am in love with the 'date' clock shown on the nightstand in this month's Real Simple article "31 Ideas for 31 Days." Any idea where to purchase it? Or what the proper term would be to google for it...? The combinations of date/day/clock/etc. that I've tried have yielded no results.
Thanks!
Sara

I'm sure Real Simple would be happy to tell you about it. Just email them. (I assume you've already checked out the reference guide in the back.)
it's a desk calendar - i have it and i love it. it was a gift from a friend - i just sent her an email asking her where she bought it - and i'll post back when i find out!
If you are talking the black thing on the table, it should be a calender. I have the same one of orange color. However, its' not powered by battery; you have to click it everyday. I bought it at about $12 at west village. Or you can find it at a shop around Ave. A and E.7th Street.
from my friend:
Hmmm... I bought it at this unique store called Raena on 3rd St. in LA. I believe the maker may be "Design Ideas" since that place seems to make that sort of thing in bulk.
you've already got a NY lead here - but if someone's in LA that's the location to go.
i believe this is close to what you are looking for....found it through shelterrific.

I have that calendar on my desk! Bought mine at the Museum of Useful things. Only trouble is you have to remember to click it to change date everyday!

Thank you all for your help...I am going to try the links and perhaps check out the store in the East Village this weekend, too.
and thanks to AT for posting my question...!
My grandmother has one of these circa 1970 with big plastic feet. She loves it, and was heartbroken that I couldn't fix it a couple of weeks ago when I visited. Now I know what to bring her as a gift! (Although she's amused by the big feet, so maybe I'll superglue the old ones onto the new calendar).
P.S. Is it still DeLurking week?
