Good Questions: What's This Lovely Sink?

3-30-sink.jpgHello AT,

I am an avid reader and just before bathroom month closes out I have a question. Can your readers please help me identify the vanity/sink in the attached picture. I'd appreciate any suggestions for similar small vanities that are off the floor.

Thanks, JD

Dear JD,

That is a beautiful setup and it looks very much like a Duravit or an Alape.

You can check their sites and you can also check out Nameeks.com which is a large distributor of European bath solutions and has a very nice website.

Can anyone nail this exactly for JD?

I'm fairly sure I've seen this exact model at Garfield Kitchen and Bath, on 5th ave in Park Slope. I pass by it every day and it looks very familiar. If it's not that exact model, I know they carry something very similar, and other good modern solutions for small bathrooms.

I would check with them -

It looks like the Duravit Vero sink. I may be mistaken though...I'm not sure if the "vanity" is Duravit.

It's hard to tell from the pic whether it's actually a Duravit Vero, but it does look the narrow version of the Vero (19" wide, I think). The Scarabeo/Nameeks sink is very similar, and also comes in a similar 18-19" width. (Homeclick has these.)

Here's a small sink off the floor. It's a lighter wood than in your picture but it's only $200 including shipping:

Except for the depth of the sink, this looks very much like Kohler's "Purist" series....

Thank you all so much for the suggestions. Chereste and anyone else - have you used sinksfaucetsandmore.com?

Thanks again.

JD-

I haven't used sinksfaucetsandmore.com. But incidently, I was at Garfield Kitchen and Bath in Park Slope today (as Brigitte mentioned above) and they definitely something very similar to this (maybe even the same). Brian, the owner, helped us- really nice guy.
