Hello AT,
I recently moved into a new place with marble countertops in the kitchen. I would love to install an instant-hot water tap, but the counter has only one hole for a faucet, and I can't imagine that drilling another hole is an easy task.
I've started looking for a faucet-and-hot water tap in one, but so far haven't had any success.
Do you have any suggestions about where to find such a faucet, or some alternative way to get a hot water tap?

I second the above. I work for a company that installs hot/cold dispensers as well as filtration units and we have to drill extra holes all of the time. It will cost you a little more depending on the installer. I would highly recommend a experienced installer though. Many times we have to go fix what a handy man or husband has done trying to do the install themselves. They never read the instructions and plug the units in before filling them with water and they end up burning up the tank. Good Luck!

I think the countertops are granite. They are about an inch thick.

They make bits to drill through rock. You may be able to rent a hammer drill at HD.

Try Franke's Little Butler system. I believe you only need one hole for the faucet unit.

Piece of cake to make another hole in the countertop. Just call a good fabricator.
It is doubtful that you will find a kitchen faucet with a separate hot water tap, I am taking you to mean you are looking for an actual kitchen faucet with a hot water tap built in. I have not seen one of those. A separate tap for filtered water built in, yes, but that water would come out room temperature.
A separate instant hot is what you have to have. Not a biggie!

Instead of drilling into your countertop (which i am sure is lovely), why not just buy an electric kettle? You can have hot water in about 2 minutes?? Just thinking about the usefulness of a hot water tap to a potential buyer...also, i am puzzled as to why you would need one? do you drink alot of tea? :P
