Hello AT,
I recently bought the white desk chair and now need a new desk. As you will see in the pictures most of the furniture is white. Thinking of a white desk, but probably overkill. Current desk is 52”L x 24” W. Although I want a modern look, function is important as I spend a lot of time at the desk (drawer, keyboard tray a big plus). Your help is appreciated.
Thanks! Greg

I think a glass desk with a chrome or stainless steel base would look great.

how about something like this?

The white parsons desk from West Elm would be perfect with the rest of your furniture. I also like the Cyril cabinet at ikea, there is no keyboard tray, but it would be perfect for hiding all the office clutter and witres. Don't worry about all white, an all white apartment would be so mod and cool.

The Walker Desk from Crate and Barrel is beautiful, cheap, and a nice combo of modern and organic:

Requires assembly, but that's why it's $350. The quality is excellent.

Topdeq.com is a good source for modern office furniture. It's more office-y than home-y, but there's a good selection. I have a chrome-plated rolling filing cabinet from Topdeq.

I like this one from DWR, paired with a filing cabinet for drawer space:

Sorry that link is bad. Go to DWR's site and search pocket desk

I agree with chairgal--the first thing I thought of was the white West Elm Parsons Desk. Problem is, it's not as functional as you might want. You'd have to buy a filing cabinet or something to keep next to it. Here's the link:

Or if you want to spark things up with some color, try CB2's go-kart desk:

Tip: sometimes long URLS don't survive well when pasted here... tinyurl.com and snipurl.com both shorten the URL to something reasonable.
Good luck! Looks like a nice room.

I just received my desk and love it. I'm now starting to look for chairs and am thinking about getting the same one as you. Ultra sleek and great modern feel, I just saw the email for 10% off today.

I was thinking the Parson's Desk came in a medium green that would match the curtains, but I don't find it on their site.

There's so many factors: size, material, price range... I just had a custom made parsons style desk made of walnut that is just fantastic.

I love my Room & Board Parsons table~ There's a bunch of table top options to choose from (glass, marble, wood, etc), but sadly, no keyboard tray. I bought a separate rolling filing cabinet w/ drawers, though, and I feel like that actually works better than the integrated drawers.
I think a black desk would be a nice contrast to your white dining table & office chair
