Good Questions: Where Can I Find a Similar Chair?

I saw this Barbara Barry chair at ABC (Photo is a xerox - so not great quality) and really liked it, but it's very pricey.

I am looking for recommendations on similar chairs either new or vintage that would work. The chair is framed in a subtle dark wood and is super comfortable.

Wood detailing like that is simply hard to do and while the shape of that chair is back in chic and there are similar shapes at places like CB2 and Jonathan Adler, to find exactly that, you should look in our furnishing classifieds:

• Los Angeles
• Chicago
• San Francisco
• New York

or at Craigslist or at places like Housing Works (thrift). To do this affordably, you want to find an old one and get it recovered.

Anyone else??

Check out Macy's furniture clearance section. There are some great deals to be had at the clearance section in the Brooklyn and Long Island stores.
