Good Questions: Where Can I Find This Dining Table?

7.6table.jpgHello AT,

I've been looking for a round dining table for a while now and came across this picture on the domino website. There isn't any information on the table and I was wondering if anyone knew where to get this or something similar to this in color and size.

Thanks! Mona

I'm afraid I don't know, but Domino is usually great about answering questions about products in the magazine and on their site. You can reach them here:

It's not the same, but it does bring to mind the Prouve Gueridon table, a beautiful classic:

The table is stunning but I'm sorry, I'm no help as to where you can find it. Talking of tables I was wondering whether anyone knew of a place that sold separate table legs and tops. I'm looking to make an interesting modern table for a child and the usual modern suspects out there are either too small in size for me or too expensive. I have some colored "Bunny chairs" from the now defunt DWR jax and want to pair them with a nice table for my son to draw on. Thanks!

I think AT fielded the same question in a previous "Good Questions" post but sorry I am not able to find it. I remember ATers commenting on the potential discomfort this sort of table could cause due to the way the legs protrude between the chairs.

Don't count on Domino to answer your question. I asked months ago about the source of this specific table and never heard back.

Back in March on AT:Chicago, someone was interested in this same table...we didn't get an answer on a source, but someone who owns it weighed in on their experience with the design...here is the link.

hi mona!

I believe that West Elm sells this table. If it is not in the current issue then a previous one. I will cross my fingers for you since I have not been able to find the pedestal table that I have been looking for. I think mine was a one of a kind and it breaks my heart that I could not purchase it at the time I saw it at a thrift store of all places:).

Good Luck!!!

It isn't exactly the same, but I would like to give a plug to the Shaker Workshops pedestal table, which can be ordered in a variety of finishes and is expandable too:

Domino may not answer you directly, but if you check out their messageboard, you can locate almost anything in the magazine or on the website. I fell in love with a wallpaper I saw in the Domino online gallery and after searching through posts on the messageboard for about a 1/2 hour, I found exactly what I was looking for!

best of luck!

If you get an answer, will you post it here? I was on a massive hunt for a round table this winter/spring, think I saw everything on the market, but I didn't see this. I finally found a vintage oak pedestal on Ebay, but I'm curious to know who makes this one.

The table looks cool but as far as the design goes deepa beat me to it.

Depending on what you are willing to spend, I could easily build it out of a hardwood (sustainable, or reclaimed) or bamboo or a veneered plywood.

I wrote in to ask Domino about this table when this issue came out. Here's their reply:

Hi and thank you for your interest in Domino!
The table shown belonged to the homeowner and was a vintage 1950’s piece.
For a table similar to shown:

Check this website out. It's not the same but pretty similar and very sleek.

Hi, Mona.

Also, It's not exactly what you are looking for, but maybe these two tables are worth to consider:

http://www.bonluxat.com/a/prouve_gueridon_table.html

Both tables are from dining tables category at Bonluxat.
