Good Questions: Where Can I Find This Raleigh Hotel Fabric?

10-10-raleigh.jpgHello AT,

I recently stayed at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach and was obsessed with the fabric used for the curtains.

It is hard to see in the photo but the blue print is a fan with a handle.

I have been searching for this fabric and have been unsuccessful.

I haven't even been able to find anything similar to it either.

Does anyone know where I can find this fabric or something similar?

Please help! Thanks! Lynn

Can't you call the hotel and ask them what fabric it is and take it from there? Even if the original is too expensive it might at least help to know what it is specifically so you can ask people in fabric shops who might be familiar with it which ones might come closest to matching...

Thanks - I have already been to Mood and a bunch of fabric stores in that area and nothing yet!

It's driving me crazy because I know that fabric, but in white with a red pattern. I can't remember what it is, but I'm trying. . .

would anyone know where to get the teak step stools that they have in the showers? i would love one of those for my shower!

has the service gotten better?

i've been there twice since it has opened. i LOVE everything about it, the spa, the pool, the bay, away from the hustle and bustle of ocean drive, but the service... blah!

It's a Florence Broadhurst pattern. Kabuki from her Borderline collection.

Actually, from looking closely at the handles on the fans in the photo above, I'm inclined to say it's a knockoff of the Broadhurst pattern Bird and Beef linked to above.

I've seen it in wallpaper too - in a pink color. Not that this helps...

You could contact André Balazs Properties and ask:
212 226 5656.

They're the owners/ designers and would be more inclinded to know the answer than the staff at the hotel.

I'm thinking it's a knock off of the fabric linked above. In that case, it's a custom pattern (alot of yardage for all the rooms)and you probably couldn't purchase it. But lucky for you, the apple didn't fall too far from the tree and you could purchase the original linked above.

Funny, this print in red was just offered on Ebay three weeks ago according to More Ways to Waste Time, so you should definitely try there too.

This is similar to a Florence Broadhurst fabric with a fan pattern. Go to http://www.signatureprints.com.au/frameset_furnishings.html
and look in the "borderline collection." It's probably the most expensive route but the fabrics are gorgeous.

There are patterns similar if not identical to this at The Silk Trading Company (inside ABC Carpet). Note to self, not cheap.
