Funny, I have that lounge chair. I got mine 7 years ago from a store in Seattle. My female friends love it, they call "first dibs" on it when coming over, and all want to "borrow" it as a reading chair. My male friends think the design is cool but find it terribly uncomfortable and never lounge in it for more than 10 minutes...

Chiasso.com sells something sorta similar called the Lola chair
www.chiasso.com the Lola chair has an acute angle at the lumbar region instead of the bottom curve in the chair above. I think that curve is what somehow makes it uncomfortable for guys.

There's a store in Seattle called "Chartreuse International" that used to sell it ages ago when I bought mine. It's a privately-owned store and the same nice people have always worked there. If you're really desperate for one, email them the pic and they may be able to give you the actual name or provide some leads on where you could get it in NY.
