Good Questions: Where Did You Get Those Lights?

10-20-hgtvlights.jpgHello AT,

I watched an episode of Mission Organization MSO-110 last week where you helped reorganize Tamara Noble's small studio apartment in New York. I fell in love with the square wall mounted lights you purchased for her place.

Could you please let me know where these lights can be bought and the aproximate cost?

Thanks for any help you can provide! Natasha

49688_PE145557_S3.jpgDear Natasha, If we had a penny for every time we've been asked that question, we would be rich by now. And that is why IKEA is, because that's where we found them (and they get more than a penny for each one).

These lights are called Stamning and cost exactly $29.99 each. The credit for finding them goes to Tamara, who spotted them from across the room and fell in love with them. We only get credit for convincing her to mount three of them side by side as it was done in the store display.

Proof that small doses of IKEA really have great impact, and a high-end effect (especially when deftly applied, as by MGR...)

Yay, IKEA!!

Just for information's sake, the design is a knock-off of the "Delight" lamp that Adrien Gardere did a couple of years back for Ligne-Roset (it costs many, many times more than the IKEA version).

Maxwell: I love what you did with that apartment! It's such an excellent use of a small space. Kudos.

I was watching the latest episode of nip/tuck the other night, and they had this same lamp (or maybe the original) in the plastic surgeon's office. Looked pretty good there, too!
