Good Questions: Where's Waldo's Vase From?

5-4--vase2.jpgHello AT,

Love the site! Any idea where I can find the vase in this picture?

I've seen it pictured on several sites but none of those sites seem to sell it or list its name.

Thanks, Melissa

Dear Melissa,

We've seen this too and suspect you could find it the MoMA store, Clio or at Michelle Varian, but we're not 100%. So....

...this is another $1 design jackpot question. The last $1 and YOU ROCK email goes to KT.

Anyone?

Is this perhaps one of the vases made from ostrich eggs? If so, The Conran Store used to carry them as part of one of their seasonal promotions, but sadly no longer do.

But if anyone finds/has one to sell... I'm interested!!!

I think it's Ted Muehling. Available at Moss. If not, it's a knock off of Ted.

And if it IS Ted, it's a knock off of an egg. :)

I have one and got it from Richard Salome Flowers on Lexington between 73rd and 74th in Manhattan. They don't have any more, but if you are extra nice, ask for Richard (and him alone) and see if he'll get you one or knows where they came from.

P.S. If there are a bunch of people from AT who want one and you tell Richard you want more than, say, 6, I'm sure he'll order under those circumstances.

My guess is that this comes from Roost : http://www.roostco.com/. Retail is under $30 bucks.

Ted Muehling it is! I hope Roost has a knockoff when their site comes back.... In the meantime I'll be saving up for it. Thanks, all (especially Andree)!

Hi Melissa,

I make ostrich egg vases. I just found your post by chance by searching for something I was looking for on Ebay. I live in the UK and run a small business selling ostrich eggs and ostrich egg lampshades and light fittings from home and on Ebay I've had quite a few orders from the US so go to www.freeindex.co.uk and type in search box Egglows. All my costs are reasonable. Hope I can be of some help.
