Hello AT,
I inherited this chair last year from my late grandmother. There is a tag underneath the seat cushion that says "Sanger Furniture Roanoke, VA" and..that's it. I've googled this place, as well as scavenged eBay for any hint of a chair like this and have not been so lucky.
I plan on reupholstering it in the future since the fabric is a very retro avacado green, and harvest gold floral print with a metallic..edge? Anyways, thanks for the help guys!

love all the buttoning. what do the legs look like underneath? i think it will be more modern if you reupholster it without the skirt.
It sounds like you want to have a pair of them, right?
I think it's a great chair, but I think I'd rather have something a tad different from it, even if it might be kind of similar, and perhaps upholster them in compatible but different fabrics.
O MY GOODNESS!! I had the same EXACT chair! But I gave it away at a garage sale because back then I wasn't as design savvy as I think I am now :) Sorry, I dont know anything about the chair either. Couldn't agree more w/ Laura especially about removing the skirt and refinishing the wooden feet. Nice and super comfy chair. Good luck and enjoy!
It sure does look super comfy.
I would never reupholster that! It's so ugly it's gorgeous.
Great chair! I would remove the skirt and of course reupholter it in a pale pink. But that's just me, I think everything should be pink.
Can you tell me anything about the painting to the left of the chair? Looks interesting.
J.C. Penney's has a similar chair on it's website, they call it the Carrington Chair. The arms are more rounded, and the legs are different, but it might make a good set with your chair
A furniture store that manufactures its own line or does frequent custom work should be able to help you get a second chair made if you are looking to make it a pair. Just show them some photos and measurements to get a cost estimate - if they can't make it, they should know of other companies that can. Always get more than one quote. The cost of custom work can vary greatly from one place to another.
