Good Questions: Wide Metal Shelving?

2005_1_3_question mark.jpgHello AT,

I am looking for commercial quality metal shelving 42x42 inches. The container store and other places don't make it this deep. Is there a kitchen supply on the Bowery someone could recommend?

Thanks, Katherine

This is another tough one, so help out anyone who can. This may have to be custom made. We would look in the following places:

I am about to order some wire shelving through Global Industrial (www.globalindustrial.com). Not sure if they have anything as deep as 42" but they definitely have 42" widths, which is exactly what I need too and which the Container Store doesn't carry. Their website's a bit of a pain to navigate so I'd recommend requesting a catalogue -- I haven't ordered from them before but they were recommended to me by a friend who uses them for shelving in his office. And they are cheaper than the container store and other sites (based on my 10 minute google-based research).

Most of the places on the Bowery carry every kind of metroshelving.

If you want metroshelving and your requirements are not that specific, the cheapest way to get some is to ask to buy what they have already assembled (the floor model discount, as it were). otherwise it is just list and should be the same everywhere.

Sounds to me like you need palate racks. Try the Lite Load Welded Palate Racks from Anytime Products.
