Similar Alternatives to Ligne Roset Pop Chair?
Good Questions

Q -I have been in love with the Ligne Roset Pop chair for years. Now that we've finally moved we have a living room that is crying out for a pair of great chairs but they are way out of my price range. Does anyone know of a similar-ish chair for closer to $1000 each? The only other piece I currently have in there is the Gus Modern Carter sofa. Here's hoping....

A - This is a very common shape — you shouldn't have a huge problem getting something similar for less. Who has ideas? Please share them in the comments.

I love these seats too, but even if it's a common shape, no manufacturer I know of comes close to imitating neither its shape nor Ligne Roset's foam quality. Right now, I sit on a 30 years-old Kashima, and it's just perfect, even though my dad had it as a student, my sister and I played it rough with it as children, and I had it as a student.

I actually just bought three Togo sofas on eBay. They're the real thing, and the Ligne Roset quality is so good they're in perfect condition. The seller reupholstered them.

I also look regularly on Ligne Roset's website. They list their retailers, and some of those give a discount on some of the pieces they displayed in their stores. Of course, you have to wait for the right one to come along, but it may be worth it. I'm not sure they do this for the US however.

I'm not paid to advertise for them, but I'm so in love with their products that I can't help doing it all the same. I've saved for three years to be able to afford the Togo I wanted (used), and I'm not regretting it for one second.

Try thrift and the Habitat Re-Store. I picked up a Pop chair and ottoman for $200! Granted, they are rare finds, but it happens. The store had the Yang sofa set there that day for $2000. Probably came from the same person with the Pop. Might still be there...

A little more rounded, but very similar:
