Suggestions for Finding a Ceiling Mounted Clock?
Good Questions

8-14-clock-question.jpgQ: Aloha! I have been looking for a ceiling mounted clock for awhile and all my searches returned digital clocks that project to the ceiling. I also considered a train station clock for my home but most of them mount on the wall and not the ceiling. I came across a photo on your website and I was so happy because I found exactly what I was looking for. I am attaching this photo, hoping that you can help me find this clock or something similar. Mahalo and warm aloha from Hawaii.

Editor: A simple search for "clock" on 1stDibs yielded 2 ceiling mounted varieties in the first page of results — I like this one. Most clocks of this variety hung in public and institutional buildings, so you'll have to search eBay, 1stDibs and flea markets. Anyone else?

I found pretty much the exact same clock used in the pic on ebay. The faces (it's double-sided) can rotate to any angle so it can be hung from a ceiling or wall or mounted on a post. The clock had been retrofitted from electric to battery power.

this one would require a little handiwork, rotating the face into the right position as mentioned by Youbetcha.

you'd have to rotate the face on this, but at least it's new and will be more guaranteed to last than the above link i posted:

I've always been drawn to clocks, and the ceiling mounted one is really great. All the links posted by lauren81 are good...the first one listed ,that is authentic, is really nice!

Thank you so much for all your suggestions and links. I love the first one, but I think my fiance might kill me for spending almost $300 on a clock :D So grateful that now I know where to look and buy. Thanks AT for posting my question and for your suggestion as well. More ideas are welcome.

You could just get a 'wall mounted" clock and go by the hand placement instead of the numbers. Would that be too annoying? Maybe it would be a conversation piece.
