Nice. I like that you can put the bag on your shoulder. But I still prefer http://www.reusablebags.com/store/acme-bags-workhorse-style-1500-p-1.html because the bag that holds the bag is attached so you don't have to worry about losing it.

I LOVE my chico bag. 5x5 is just too big to carry in a small handbag. I agree with the other poster that having the bag attached is key.

I keep an envirosack in my bag at all times and it's fantastic - huge, with great straps that I can sling over my shoulder. Plus it's cute. And it rolls up tiny with little strap/snaps that keep it compacted.

For those of you that have access to Wegmans. They have reusable, durable bags that look very similar for .99 each. They hold about 25 pounds and are structured enough to stand up on their own, which makes then easy to unload. They are black with a white Wegmans logo. I have 5 of them, and that is usually perfect for a weeks worth of groceries for 2 people.

I have tried every reusable bag out there, and Baggu bags are the BEST! The Chico bag is wrinkly and ugly & it is impossible to get it back into that pouch. Enviro sax prints are too tacky for me, and the short handles make that bag hard to fill & carry. The Baggus long handles fit over your shoulder so they are SO easy to carry. Baggu bags are just cool. Either way, as long as you are using someone reusable bag, you are ahead of the curve. Also ... 6 for $38 ... thats a sweet deal!

chrisB: I go to Wegman's all the time and I've never seen those bags (prob because I'm too busy drooling over the amazing cheese selection).

Baggu bags are pretty, but I don't know what to do!!! I like plastic bags because they make great trash bags. If I get a Baggu, what will I use for throwing away my garbage???

The thing I don't like about the Acme reusable bag is that you can't put it over your shoulder. This looks much more user-friendly.

Pierre - simply buy biodegradable garbage bags from places like Seventh Generation to get over your plastic shopping bag/garbage bag itch. Then enjoy the enviro-friendly cloth tote bags to do your shopping with!

The Envirosax handles are *not* too short to carry over your shoulder... that's how I use them every time I go shopping. Perfectly easy to fill and carry. These look fine too...but I like that the Envirosax have no carrying case to lose - you just roll them up and fasten their snap!

chrisB: Those bags are great! I have some from our local Stew Leonard's and also saw that Stop and Shop has them. They hold much more than a paper bag does and I like the fact they have a big square bottom. And the price can't be beat!

Baggus are completely awesome. I bought a set in July very aware of the competition and I couldn't be happier with the timeless look, convenience and durability. They fit over my shoulder too and carry more than plastic saks. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Oh I am so excited about this post! I almost ordered envirosax yesterday, but I just couldn't bring myself to because of the patterns (and the short straps). I am thrilled to have found these, and I just ordered a bunch!

i also agree about having the storage pouch a part of the design itself. but it seems to me that it wouldn't be too hard to pull the pouch inside out and sew it into the inside of the bag. then when you want to store it, fold the bag down to the pouch, tuck it in, and pull the pouch back right side out and voila, fold-down bag-in-a-pouch.

so easy, i'm really bothered that baggu didn't think of it themselves.

I have the flora set of Envirosax and I love them and the patterns. Also, I'm totally jealous of anyone who lives near a Wegmans. It's the best grocery EVER! I wish one would come to NYC.

I am loving my EnviroSack--if the patterns are to your liking (i enjoy my green and orange retro print), be advised that the straps are not short like they appear to be on the website. they're definitely shoulder length--and very comfy to carry that way. the bag holds so much too! i'm always amazed by that.

Another great reusable bag is the Onya bag (as in "keep it on ya all the time!") - www.onyabags.co.uk. I bought it in London at the Greenwich Market from the creator John Brousson a few years ago and carry it with me everywhere. Made of light, durable parachute-like material, the bag folds into its own small pouch. The BEST feature, though, is that the pouch turns into a shoulder strap - simply clip the carabiner clip onto the small loop and you can sling it over your shoulder. You can also clip it to your bag or key chain. People have stopped me on the street in NYC to ask where to buy one. I bought a slew of them for friends and family, but need to get a few more for myself since they come in lots of great colors!

i have found greenbags at grocery stores (like Whole Foods) with their own logo printed on them for $1.99. that's cheaper than ecobags.com

Envirosax are GREAT! And the designs are fantastic. I see they have some new designs......I shall be buying some!
