When it comes to our home interiors, we all probably want to use only healthy, green furnishings. But does that have to mean shopping only for furnishings that are marketed as green, sometimes at healthy price tags? Or can one learn the principles of green home interiors, then purchase furnishings based on their adherance to these green qualities? Decorating Your Natural Home from Natural Home offers up some tips on how to decorate green without relying solely on green nametags...

That has to be the most uncomfortable sitting area I've ever seen. Nice colors, nice things, but not functional.

Yeah, I don't think you're actually supposed to sit back on it. You'd bonk your head on the candles. Sinse it has a bit of an Asian vibe, it might be for kneeling (in which case the height of the table makes a little more sense). I was really amused at my in-laws' family reunion to see them push the furniture back away from the coffee table so they could kneel around it. I could never do that... bad circulation.
Personally, I just want to curl up on it and take a nap. Forget the caffeine and the books. The colors are so soothing.

What kind of plant is that in the vase? And where can I find them?

I love the colors, AWWW! But the sofa is impractical. I'd put this in there:

or:
http://www.inmod.com/giprmiso.html
It would be more comfortable. I could see myself lounging in this area.

Hey Collin,
The flowers in the vase are organic calla lilies. I'm betting you can find them at Whole Foods or farmers markets (they're grown in Cali, so if you live there, should be easy to find).
Thanks!
