Many composting toilets are far different than your typical "outhouse".

This is fascinating, I don't think I could live in such a small space but I hope she is successful at it, maybe she will start a blog about her experiences living in such a small space, I would love to hear more.

I think perhaps you've never actually been near a modern composting toilet. There is no smell if it is functioning normally.

I really enjoyed that article -- thanks for posting it. I admire Elizabeth and feel sure she'll overcome the problems she has left. I'd have loved this when I was in grad school.
