Hobbit-ish Home. What can you do with a chainsaw, hammer and a one-inch chisel? With the help of his father-in-law, Simon Dale built a house for his family in the Welsh countryside using oak branches thinned from local trees, straw bale insulation, mud and stone. That is truly stunning-- it looks just like something out of a fairy tale. I wish he'd provided more details about how it was built, and especially how the heating, lighting, plumbing, etc. are achieved.
