This rug is so colorful and nostalgic! Like so many others, I'm sure, I have fond memories of making those old loomed potholders. I came across this on Great Green Goods last week. The rugs are from a Massachusets company called Crispina. They use 100% recycled t-shirts to make the rugs, and they're woven on giant looms just like the potholder looms from childhood!! They are cushy at 1" thick and are chemical-free so they make great flooring for baby to play on. What a happy rug for kids and adults alike.

They sell them ROMP, an upscale toy store on Fifth Ave in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
I am currently cutting t-shirts into long strips, turning them into balls of "yarn" and knitting them into a rug.
This reminds me of it.
There is an even better version of a potholder loop rug in the 'Mason-Dixon Knitting' book if you feel inspired to make your own. I'm curious if 'cb' is making that one!

Actually, it fits perfectly into the colour scheme that I am putting together -- the crib is bright turquoise (note generous amount of turquoise strips in rug), as will be the rocker (I hope; fingers crossed).
