Last year, Mio captured our interest with their Nomad cardboard room divider. This year, the Philadelphia-based company launched three new concepts at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair — a modular storage unit, a stool that uses discarded tires as its seat and a recycleable Tyvek wall covering...

If you can't afford solid wood furniture, Mio doesn't think you should hide behind a veneer — embrace an environmentally-friendly particle board.

The stool has a steel frame and its seat is made from recycled tires. It's held in place by friction.

Mio will recycle their new Loop Tyvek wall covering when consumers send it back to them.
The storage unit is great. Unfortunately it is not on their website yet.

The stool looks more like a rack to hang dry towels than a seating.
