Sounds like a terrific idea. But how heavy is the whole thing including solar panels and standard chargers?
I saw these a while ago on Treehugger and initially thought they were a great idea. The problem is you need something like 6 hours of direct sunlight exposure to charge a cell phone. Its the kind of thing you could use if you lived in Arizona or California - but not very practical in Seattle or Boston or anywhere that its not 85% sunny.
