The Greenest Thumb! Contest: Indira's Secret Garden

Favorite Resource: Walmart for soil, seeds and rose plants.

Pitch:

"I have always wanted a huge backyard where I could create a secret garden of sort. Since I live an apartment this is my attempt to create a small portion of that vision. I call this my "Temple Garden" owing to the idol of the Hindu Elephant God I have placed as the focal point." [more below]

I go into this little garden of mine when I need some peace and solace after a stressful day. The plants include different variety of mixed flowers that I have grown from seed, as well as a red rose plant, pruple wave petunias and a planter box of herbs - parsley and basil.

Great garden for an apartment balcony. Indira might consider small benches and decorative stands that would display plants on different levels, making it visually more interesting.

lovely garden and to have such a nice idea of placing Ganesh as the focal point. The colorful flowers looked beautiful too. Indeed a secret garden to enjoy the nature.
