More pampering. It seems as if the "pampered pet" are the mots de la moment, if you catch what I mean. Here is another notable. Fetch sells gourmet treats, fashionable accessories and even books and stationary for dog and cat lovers.
P. says: Having an animal companion is an important and rewarding relationship I love. Now that my dog is 15 years old the term caretaker has more meaning than ever. I shop my local pet shop for basics and other nyc stores like Spot at 16th and 7th Ave and Fetch on Greenwich for special treats.
NYMag agrees. "go elsewhere for bulk food," they say and " Come here to pamper your pooch with extravagant treats."
Citysearch calls it "adorable" and "Barneys for the canine set" while you get to "Indulge your pet's inner snob."

C'mon, enough with the dog stuff.
Hey Todd, it's Pet Month here on AT, so I think you have two more weeks to go... I find it a nice change for those of us who had to suffer through a month of baby carriage debate!!
Hear hear! At least a bunch of us do have pets or know pet lovers. I only know two couples with a baby...
Yeah! Dogs are way better than babies any day!!
Fetch is a little on the higher-priced side of pet boutiques. However, they do have great sales. I found an awesome sweater for my dog there (who is notoriously hard to fit..) and it was half price!
Ditto on Patrick's comment about baby month.
I'm already measuring my apt for my new Amanda Jones photos. (As if I weren't intimately acquainted with every cubic inch of my studio apt anyway.)
Yeah, I had to cope with the baby carriages. The pet stuff is more annoying. A $600 dog bed! That's more expensive than my bed. Don't even get me started on clothing for pets.
Todd, you sing it sister! The baby carriage debate may have been annoying but at least I sort of hope I may actually have one one day and want to buy a glider or carriage. But even if I got an animal companion, I would never buy them a piece of furniture more expensive than any I own.
