Nesting? Fixing? Both? Showcased in New York Mag's Best of New York last year, Filaments specializes in restoring vintage lighting from the last century into the middle of this one.
The take away: if you have a beautiful old lamp that is in terrible shape, Randy Howard (the owner) can bring it back to life. Mr. Howard once turned an old piece of dental machinery into a lamp for a customer. His thoughts on the matter: "Was it my personal taste?" asks Howard. "No. Was he happy? Yes."
Citysearch gives it 3 reviews, two of which are positive: ...many lamps that are moderately priced, especially if you are looking for a retro modern type lamp but don't want to spend thousands on a vintage restored lamp. Definitely worth a stop.
