mixlogo.gifHigh design & fun. Mxyplyzyk (pronounced Mix-ee-pliz-ik) continues to be one of best places in town to browse for beautiful, modern, FUN and cutting edge housewares (particularly for spur-of-the-moment gifts). The store is a "quirky mix of well designed but affordable items gathered from around the world."

The perfect party store, and one that will get you in the mood to purchase a show off item for your home, Mxyplyzyk specializes in defying categorization and always having something brand new that you have never seen.

They stock lighting, clocks, bathroom hardware, luggage, dinnerware, toys, barware, phones, mats and much more at every price point you can imagine (though most prices are smaller than a breadbox).

If you haven't been to their store already, it's definitely worth a visit...or few. It's the perfect place to find a gift for that impossible-person-to-shop-for in your life (and everyone has one...).

I have those exact same little white vases . . . from Ikea.
Really like the nesting tables though.

I love this store, the products, the location, etc...but the staff couldn't be less friendly.

I've seen them too Griffin...they're $1.99! I wonder how much more mxyplyzyk charges for them?

Yes the store is greatly curated, but the staff are obnoxious.

Instead, I go the to MoMA store where the staff are all delightfully friendly and helpful.

I don't live there anymore so I haven't been in a while, but the stuff is always pretty interesting. There's always something that made me drool.

Fun isn't a word I would use for this store. I live nearby and like to window shop but like everyone else says the staff is less than desireable.

Ah it has been awhile since I checked this comment board. The few negative folks are back again up to their old tricks I see. Again, these comment boards are so odd. Any nut with a gripe against a business ( real or imagined ) can come here and post. No accountability at all. Hi to 'j-girl, Mid-C, alexis', whoever you all may rally be! We send you nothing but good wishes and good feelings out to your empty lives!
