Warm. So we've been eyeing this new H&H store on West 4th since it opened, thinking it was a little pretentious and stuffy, selling pillows and candles, etc..... But last night it just looked like a nice place to get out of the cold....and there were these very cool lamps...

Tao Living defies all (of our) expectations. When you walk inside it is relaxed, inviting and dotted with a number of unique finds. Our favorite are the coconut lamps (pictured) which have a soft, glowing presence and are made out of - you guessed it - coconut (from $275). They come in three sizes, the largest being big enough to sit on the floor ($495).
Lamps are the thing here along with pillows, but the style is rich and understated and you can feel the feng shui in the air (The co-owner, Dina, is a certified consultant). MGR

I love the pillows at tao-living. Each one is its own piece of art for your sofa. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. When I get married I am buying everything for my new home here.
