Palo hails from Slovakia and after only 4 years in this country, has built himself a great woodworking company out of his Brooklyn Navy Yard studio. His pieces are whimsical, striking, and beautifully handmade. His website is as wonderful as the furniture itself. Check it out.

Jill, what kinda investment are we talkin' for one of his pieces? I love the chair on his website (the one on the right in the first pic, under the 'chair' category), but it must be on the expensive side, no?
palo was by far my favorite exhibitor. i was so moved by the thought behind each piece. he was quiet and kind and i just thought everything about him and his work was fantastic. his love of his new baby son came through in his work that had tons of little hidden details that were perfect for children. i just loved palo. we need more people like him in this industry. he really designs from the heart.
