More on AT Reader City Faceoff: Do You Want an AT Near You? (113 comments!)
ap: Seattle!!!
(although Mumbai would be really cool too)
Dorianne: CANADA!
C'mon, anywhere in Canada, we don't care. Montréal, Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Halifax, Iqaluit...
Barbara: do Seattle, PLEASE -- because i am a new yorker who i fear will eventually (and reluctantly) have to move there as it is my husband's home and he is a one-city kind of man and is oh-so tired of new york. AT - help me love seattle!
Lori: "... in DC, with the 14th Street hip shelter/design shops..." When I was a kid, 14th Street was here the men from the burbs would go to pick up hookers. My how things have changed in our Nation's Capitol!
Maxwell: Yikes!

Is 113 a new record?
Gee, Maxwell, it sounds like you should walk out of your apartment with shades on to protect your peepers from the bulbs of the paparazzi! Growing pains must feel good, hunh?
CHICAGO! there's all kinds of cool design stuff in Chicago, but i need help finding all the affordable cool design stuff!
In truth, I actually like the idea of one centralized AT. I can barely remember to look at ATLA.
On the other hand, I do find myself feeling left out a bit whenever a store, product, or event is listed, because it's almost always in NYC. I don't mind, but the focus on NYC made it all feel a bit...erm...NYC-only at first.
Of course, I know now AT is not some NYC-elitist thing - I love AT, and I feel totally welcome here, even though I'm from Middle-Of-Nowhere, British Columbia (which has a surprising number of apartments), AND even though I'm into houseplants. ;) But I sure like the idea of being able to open up to include other communities or regions, somehow...if that's a financial possibility for the owners of AT, of course.
what is the meaning of this?
Hey Dorianne, I think AT_Ottawa would be a pretty lame site. And I live here.
But... Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver could all be pretty good.
Hah! chzplz, that made me laugh. You should try Kamloops!
I like Ottawa, but I'm weird like that. :)
DC!! I would've loved to have entered that coolest, small apt contest. Sigh.
