We're suprised we haven't posted it yet, too. AT reader, mjoe, tipped us off to FiberFloor by Tarkett: Surprised I haven't seen this blogged here yet, or maybe I just missed it. Tarkett FiberFloor is the ideal solution for renters with ugly floors and a little bit of cash. It comes in 12 foot rolls, you just cut it to size and lay it down. No installation...At the store I went to it ranged from about $2-3.50/sq foot.

The flooring can lay over existing hard flooring and provides a clean, even new surface. As mjoe pointed out, it's not a high-end finish but is great for service spaces, kids' rooms, maybe kitchens?

It looks like it could be a solution if you have bad floors about which your hands are tied due to money or terms of a lease. We like the playful prints that aren't trying to pretend they're wood or clay or anything else.

Looks nice but if one section gets ruined the whole floor has to go. Also room size rolls are a difficult diy for a lot of renters of small spaces. they can't put all the furniture from one room to the next, because there is no room.

I'd love to see something like this for carpeted floors!
